Checking in........ part I

There have been so many things going on that I haven’t taken the time to connect with you on our blog site. I have been either on travel or in ministry locally for the past three weeks. The next three weeks will prove to be as busy and important a time of ministry for me and Pastor Toni.

I was in Baltimore, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Chicago, Illinois preaching, teaching, and leading worship. I have to admit that my facebook friends were really supportive during my travels. They prayed for me, encouraged me, and even came out to some of the places that I was ministering. Between them and my sister-in-law I felt quite supported.

My son Joshua had a birthday on March 7th. He turned eleven on that day. For his celebration he invited 12 of his friends either from school or church to sleep over the next weekend! It was quite eventful. My daughter Ariel and I are in the middle of a two day daddy daughter binge. First, I went on her field trip today with her school to Stone Mountain Plantation. Tomorrow we will go on a date to the 191 club for an evening of dinner and dancing.

I have had the most interesting experiences “preaching” in chapel in three places. The first is the chapel at Beulah Heights University where I serve as the Dean of the Chapel. I am always blessed to have the opportunity to share with the students, faculty, staff, and administration of the University. The second is the chapel of Providence Christian Academy where my children go to school. The leadership invited me to share with the fourth through seventh grades. I enjoyed it immensely and I believe that they did as well. The third is the chapel service for the Eastminster School, a preparatory academy in Conyers, Georgia. There my audience was one hundred fifteen kindergarten through sixth grade students. Their minds were open and they received the message on honesty with great joy.

Well that is all for now. I will have more to report in a day or two......

Grace & Peace!

Bishop
